About the event
This class is great for anyone new to riding and folks who want some more insight and practice before going out on their own or joining group events.
Learn the basics in a safe and inclusive environment:
- Bike fit & comfort
- Safe riding technique
- Bike parts & maintenance
- Rules of the road
- Group ride etiquette
We'll provide about 45 minutes of hands-on instruction and then go on a short, slow guided ride on the greenway. Participants just need to bring a bike in good working order along with a helmet. Water and sunscreen are also strongly encouraged. All ages welcome. We just ask that children come with an adult. We'll be following CDC guidance for outdoor group activities so stay tuned for more info leading up to the event.
Please RSVP so we can get a good headcount. Message us if you have any questions.
NOTE: We will not be teaching how to ride a bicycle. We expect participants to know how to ride. We will be teaching all the other info that makes riding safe, lawful, and fun!
