Fall Cycle Net Event

Join us for for the fall Cycle Net onWednesday, October 17 at 6:30pm

Cycle Net is about bringing together local riders, from all backgrounds, to mingle, learn about all that Winston-Salem has to offer bicyclists, and find out how to get involved in making our city more bike friendly.  It’s also great for people new to cycling or who are interested in giving it a try because they can meet local riders, ask questions, and learn some great tips for getting started.

There will be food, drinks, and some awesome guest speakers. We’re excited to announce the Fall Cycle Net line up…

Tommy Rodgers is a registered dietitian and USA Cycling Coach who has also done his share of riding and racing in the BMX, MTB, CX and road arena. Today, he is a coach with Ascend Nutrition & Coaching where he uses nutrition to help people improve their health and their lives. He will be speaking to the group about staying fit throughout the fall and winter and giving expert advice on training and nutrition for those gearing up for cyclocross season.

Matthew Burczyk is professional planner (AICP), League Certified Instructor, and Bicycle and Pedestrian Coordinator for the City of Winston-Salem. His work is critical to making sure bicyclists and pedestrians accommodations are considered and implemented throughout transportation departments and other relevant areas of government. During Cycle Net he will be sharing some info on the NEW Bicycle Mater Plan is that being developed for the City of Winston-Salem. During the event you can review the recommendations, ask questions, and provide your feedback on the proposal.

Cycle Net will be held at The Footnote Coffee & Cocktails. downtown, behind Foothills Brew Pub. They offer coffee, signature cocktails, wine, and craft beer in a cozy environment. Free and convenient parking is available on Holly Street.
